Anyway, so Chloe's morning went well - excited that she will now have her own desk that flips up with her goodies stashed inside.
Mia's morning was a bit more emotional for both of us. She is a whole two years younger than Chloe was when she started all day school. Here they go 8:45-3:30 at the age of four. Although the timing will make my life way easier with the baby on it's way, she so LITTLE still! Even though she told me "my tummy hurts" when we were getting ready this morning, she was still excited and wanted to wear her uniform, even though she could wear her "home" clothes.
Mia was so proud when I picked her up - she had had a great time, although she told me she did cry a bit (but to be honest so did I) but then went on to tell me all she did. Plus she was super excited about her new bag and bear (see below). The other great news is that I really enjoyed meeting all the other new moms (and some who I vaguely knew). I was gleefully social today - I chatted over coffee or lunch with about 20 moms in total over a period of six hours (9-3). Being as socially deprived as I am here (more on that in another post), it was total enjoyment.
On our way out the door this morning.

I don't know how Sabrina will feel about it but I am confident I will be a complete mess when my baby is old enough to go off to school. I hate even thinking about it.
After the beginning of last school year, when I had burst into tears dropping Maya off at pre-school, I was chatting with the checkout lady at Trader Joe's who had just dropped her kid off at college. She told me it doesn't get any easier. So we have 18 more years of this to look forward to.
Congrats to Mia and Chloe anyway, and chin up mommy!
