This past weekend we were invited to the new home of a family that just moved out of London this summer. Mia was friends with their little girl Tabitha from nursery school. Her mom, Nicky was one of the moms I mentioned in a previous post that I got on well with, but she was one of the ones high-tailing it out of London after 20 years. Interesting thing about London is that there is no sprawling suburb. You are either in London or the country. They have moved to a little village - one pub, a town green, a tea house and a market. It's so sweet. The weather was splendid - newspapers have it as one of the best this year of 2008. There is a "farm park" two minutes from them. This type of activity is quite common here - farm animals and activities along side of simple rides and fancy playgrounds.

The local pub where we had dinner.

Homemade breakfast - started American (see pancakes under sausage) and turned English - see baked beans, mushrooms, English bacon (more like ham steak) and sausage.

Hairy pig with 3-day old piglets!
Chloe with calf only weeks old.

On another note, I have now joined facebook thanks to so many invites. Seems I'm one of the last to get onboard. If you are on facebook and have messaged me, I am sorry that I have not responded. My brother has offered multiple times to give me a quick tutorial and try to help me set up my anonymous home page. I've got it on my gi-normous list of things to do.

I'm not on Facebook either. Blog is enough!
Aren't we past the facebook age? That and texting has totally passed me by. Wow, I'm old.
I go through cycles with facebook. Right now is an on cycle, but I am sure soon I will leave it for a few months. But while I am in the on cycle I will see if I can find you. :)
