Btch about the BBC

With the day-by-day financial turmoils - in the US and now all over Europe (and due to my increased need to lay horizontal), I watched more BBC these past two weeks than the entire 10.5 months we've lived here. And I do know that this winter, the "in-color" is purple - shoes, boots, sweaters and today I've seen four men wearing purple ties in the first 15 minutes of BBC news. Gordon Brown seems to only wear purple ones these days.

What is it about BBC weather people? I don't know why I even bother to watch - it's mostly about when the wet weather is coming and when it might be going - but more importantly, I can't UNDERSTAND them. Half of them seem to be Scottish - an accent I've come to despise - and the other half have some poor/uneducated accent. Seriously, I listen and I really can't tell you what I've just heard. How is that possible? Are they just trying to talk in circles so no one really knows that the weather will be? So they can't be held accountable?
