For those of you who haven't given up on my blog...we are in the US and I've been here two weeks now. I flew with the three girls from London to DC and visited my friend from university, Rebecca, and her family for a week. It was so great to see her, but with four kids plus a baby, our week together amounted to an extended phone conversation and a lot of work for our hosts! It was a bit frustrating, but it was great to see her and get to know her husband better. A girls weekend is definately in order down the road.
My first impressions on being back in the US:
everything is HUGE
people are physically pushy/rude
people are friendly, which freaks me out - um, do i know you?
it is HOT - we have adjusted to our chilly UK and are now in shock
and I love minivans.
Now our last day in Wrightsville Beach, NC with my family and are off to Fort Lauderdale tomorrow.
