Happy 7th Birthday Chloe!!!

Yes, my big little poodle turned SEVEN today.

We had a great day - weather was a beautiful blue sky with a high of 72. We took the tube to have lunch with Eugene in Canary Wharf (where he works) and both the girls and I have a greater appreciation for his one hour (each way) commute. We were lucky though, as the times we traveled enabled us to get a seats and it wasn't too crowded to make it stifling hot. As a side note, there is no air conditioning in the Underground. The tube is the hottest place to be in town. I had a chuckle about the announcements that come over in the stations to the effect of "in the current hot weather conditions, it is important that passengers bring a bottle of water with them whilst riding the tube." Hot weather conditions? 72?

Chloe and Mia were quite excited to be seeing Daddy and we picked up sandwiches and sat outside in a little piazza, enjoyed the weather, and the Thames flowing by. Have to say the area reminds me a bit too much on (what was) the World Trade area in NYC. But I try not to go there.

After a great lunch, we had to say goodbye to daddy and the girls and I meandered around all the shops/malls that are in the area. So much shopping in one location! Lots of high-end shops.

Went home, made that fabulous vegan magic chocolate cake, hung out, ordered pizza, and then at 6:45 I heard the door and panicked briefly as I thought someone was breaking in but then low and behold it was DADDY! Chloe (and Mia) were thrilled. Me too. How nice to see him on a weekday - and twice in one day!!!

Chloe then opened presents and off to bed! Fun day had by all.
