Here are some shots of the Chloe's Christmas Concert and Mia's Nativity Play. These were all done at school, mind you. It's so different than in the US - all schools have religious education in the general terms of religion but it seems that assumptions are made that all folks celebrate Christmas. There is no "happy holidays" here, which I like if you know the person celebrates Christmas. Anyway, the girls have been singing me tons of great Christmas songs - all about the wise men and esp baby Jesus. I think all grandparents are thrilled at the religious dose they are getting!
Anyway, Mia had the STAR role in the nativity play - she was Mary! Her line was "please, please, can you help me" to the Innkeepa (her pronunciation). Another funny tidbit, is that my mom bought Mia's Mary costume at Woolworth's while she was here - yes, Woolworth did a line of nativity play costumes - that tells you how common these plays are here. Too bad it didn't help keep the UK Woolworths in business....
